Wilfred Domingo Barreras

Wilfred Domingo Barreras, 84, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 9, 2024, with his family by his side, in Springerville, Arizona. He was born January 15, 1940 in Concho, Arizona.

Wilfred was married to the love of his life, Adeline Pena Barreras for 61 years until she passed away. He was a kind man of a quiet and reserved nature. His greatest joy in life was his family; raising 5 children along with his wife and helping to care for and raise grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wilfred was a man of many talents, working mainly in construction, eventually retiring from the City of St. Johns. During his retirement he enjoyed being outdoors, fixing things, working in his beautiful yard, going out to eat, seeing new places and looking forward to his daily visits from his long-time and very good friend, Ramon Ruiz.

Wilfred is survived by his sons, Felix Wilfred Barreras, San Rafael, New Mexico; Gregg Barreras, Hurricane, Utah; daughters, Rebecca (John) Flanagan, Lakeside; Christina Long, St. Johns; sister, Elsie Duran, 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

On March 9, 2024 Wilfred joined his wife, Adeline Pena Barreras, daughter, Lorraine Barreras, granddaughter, Jennifer Barreras, parents, Gregorio O. Barreras and Sarita Romero and many other loved ones.
