Vernon F Laney

February 25, 1930 — June 18, 2021

Vernon F Laney, 91, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 in Eagar. He was born February 25, 1930 in Luna, New Mexico, the son of Franklin Searce Laney and Erma Bloomfield.

Vernon served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1952 and later retired from the United States Forest Service after 30 years.

Vernon is survived by his daughter, Linda Robin Laney, Nutrioso; sons, Robert F Laney, Nutrioso; Vernon Joe Laney, Luna, New Mexico; brothers, Ted Laney, Joe Laney, Leo Laney, twin sister, Verna Lund, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (AZ time) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Luna, New Mexico building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be held at the Luna Cemetery.
