Teri Sam Dana

Teri Sam Dana, 26, passed away, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her home in Springerville, Arizona. She was born July 8, 1997 in Show Low, Arizona, the daughter of Richard Ferrel Dana and Arlene Jennifer Leithead Dana.

Teri Sam was an amazing daughter, sister, niece and friend. She loved spending time with her family and going on vacations with them. Teri Sam enjoyed her time with her brothers; watching movies, driving around, going to games or playing games with them; she loved it. She enjoyed helping her dad when he was working on vehicles or working on anything; she was there to help. Teri Sam loved going places with her mom; driving and just talking. She did so much for her mom. Her brothers will miss her back scratching skills and her giggles.

Teri Sam was a good friend with her aunt, Joanie. She was the one to help her aunt get costumes ready for Halloween. She enjoyed watching movies outside, her aunt’s pasta and paddle boarding. Teri Sam always enjoyed all of her little cousins. She enjoyed playing games and fishing with her brother, Noah and just spending time with him. She attended many baseball, football and basketball games to cheer on her Baby Fusa who is her pride and joy.

Teri Sam was an artist. If you were lucky enough to get some of her art, that meant she loved you. She loved collecting rocks, sea shells and little old pieces of wood. Teri Sam loved animal shows; she was just so unique. She loved everyone; not one mean bone. She was a hugger and loved visiting with all people. She is truly an amazing soul and she will be so missed by us all.

We love you Teri Sam and hope to be just like you; full of love for all and kindness too and as you say, “When you make choices, make more good choices.”

Teri Sam is survived by her parents, Richard and Arlene Dana and brothers, Michael, Joshua, Caleb and Noah.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Tania and grandmothers, LaVerne Leithead and Dixie L. Dana.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Springerville Cemetery.
