Sean Thomas Joseph McKenna

Sean Thomas Joseph McKenna, 39, passed away, Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Scottsdale. He was born April 15, 1983 in Toledo Oregon, the son of Patrick Joseph McKenna and Deborah Sue Mills McKenna.

It’s not difficult, but impossible, to sum up someone’s life into a short paragraph. There aren’t words to describe the profound impact that Sean had on the people in his life nor how much he will be missed. Sean was the person you called when you needed the friend you could count on. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends and could always make you laugh. He will always be remembered and honored for his kindness, love, humor, strength, compassion and humility. However, it is important to remember that death is not the end. Sean lives on through those lives he touched and in every beautiful memory we have to hold until we meet again. He has simply stepped into the next room and will be there as we each make our way home.

Sean is survived by his parents, Patrick and Deborah McKenna, Springerville; children, Garrett Levi McKenna, Springerville; Kelan Jordan Greer McKenna, Springerville; Teresa “Paige” McKenna, Show Low; sisters, Melissa Allred, Kodiak, Alaska; Catie (Shane) Swapp, Thatcher; Kelly (Jeff) Soderquist, Springerville; grandmother, Ida Dean Mills and many nieces and nephews who loved Sean.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dean Mills, Herbert and Florence McKenna and brother-in-law, Bryan Allred.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Momentum Life Church, Springerville. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
