Roderick “Rod” Joseph Denault, 69, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born October 20, 1956 in Altona, Manitoba, Canada, the son of Joseph Henry Denault and Leona Goulet.
Rod was a proud husband, dad, grandpa, brother, Marine, insulator and friend. He was known for never meeting a stranger, being able to talk to anyone and always helping people out. He was the best story teller around. He loved fishing, telling Dad jokes to his grandkids and telling stories. He was looked up to by many. Rod served his country in the United States Marine Corp form 1975-1978.

Rod is survived by his wife, Shanna Denault, son, Joseph Denault, daughters, Trish, Melanie, Dustie, Sharlee (Richard), grandchildren, Robert Denault, Logan Padilla, Hope, Marleah, Evony, McKenzie, Mia, Mylee, brothers, Gene (Terrie), Larry (Beth) and sisters, Joleen (Gary), Mary (John) and Valerie (Greg).
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Danny and sister, Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the American Legion, Springerville.
