Raymond Wesley Kidwell, Jr.

Raymond Wesley Kidwell, Jr, age 59 of Concho, Arizona, passed from this life in the summer of 2022. Raymond was born February 28, 1963 to Raymond Wesley, Sr. and Helen Louise Langford Kidwell. He was such a small baby that he got the nickname “peanut” which stuck with him throughout his life. 

Raymond is most known for his love and loyalty to family and friends, his dedication to the Pittsburgh Steelers, his scruff “Cookie Monster” voice and being a very animated story teller. 

Raymond was a very hard worker, making sure to always provide for his family. When he wasn’t working at the power plants, you’d find him cutting wood to help his family and friends stay warm throughout the winter. 

Raymond enjoyed traveling and making memories with his wife of 21 years, Joy Kidwell. Raymond also liked to be spontaneous with his trips. In 2021 he went for a “short drive” and ended up all the way in Arkansas so he could visit his children and grandchildren. Raymond enjoyed taking his boat on the lake to fish, tending to his garden and fruit trees and shooting guns. 

Raymond was a man of Christian faith. He was taught the Bible and knew the road to salvation from a little child. His grandmother ensured he and his little brothers knew the Lord. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Helen and his baby brother, Dewayne. 

He is survived by his wife, Joy Kidwell of the home, 4 children, Shawna (Justin) Wilson, John (Samantha) Kidwell, Dustin Kidwell and Colista Turner all of Harrison, Arkansas, step-daughter, Misty Elam, Concho, Arizona, 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother, Martin (Tracy) Kidwell, nephews, Cody Kidwell, Derek (Brittany) Kidwell, Colten (Mandy) Kidwell and niece, Courtney (Justin) Carter all of St. Johns, Arizona.
