Patricia Ann Heap Brabant

Patricia Ann Heap Brabant, 77, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She was surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1946 in McNary, Arizona, the daughter of Merle Ward Heap and Marguerite Jones, of St. Johns, Arizona.

Patty graduated from St. Johns High School in 1964.  On March 16, 1973 Patty married Milton Dwaine Brabant in Tempe, Arizona. They then moved to Tucson where they raised their family and enjoyed many years there. After Milton retired, they moved to St. Johns and lived there until they moved to Sierra Vista in 2020. Patty was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for Milton and their 8 children. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always more concerned about others and meeting their needs than she was of her own.   She provided meals to many and shared her amazing sewing skills with many. Patty joyfully gave her time and talents to the Lord in service to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, camping and most especially spending time with her family.

After a full life of rewarding service Patty is now receiving her glorious reward with those who have preceded her in death.

Patty is survived by her husband, Milton Brabant, sons, Darin (Elaina) Brabant, Edward (Mo Stewart) Brabant, Kevin (Tracey) Brabant, daughters, Mary (Micah) Finch, Lori (Jordan) Silk, Alta Hernandez, Cindy (Jay) DeChamp, Ann (Jon-Paul) Stinson, brother, Larry (Bev) Heap, 32 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jacque Baca, brother, Bruce Heap and sister-in-law, Gladys Kennedy.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
