Pat Saize Baca, Jr., 91, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his home in Springerville, Arizona. He was born February 8, 1935 in St. Johns, Arizona, the son of Patricio Baca and Elisaria Saiz.

Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He had 9 children from his wife, Rumie Baca with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He was proud of all of them.

Pat worked his early years as a gas station attendant and mechanic working most of the gas stations in the late 40’s and 50’s. He became a heavy equipment operator which he did for most of his life, retiring from Apache County. He could drive any heavy equipment available and never missed one day.

Pat liked to spend his time with his kids and grandkids and loved to take them hunting. He was known by many in his community as well as Greer, where he often plowed snow. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Pat is survived by his sons, LeRoy Baca, Springerville; James Baca, Atascadero, California; Mark Baca, Springerville; Eric Baca, Morenci; daughters, Diana Arnold, El Campo, Texas; Trese Hinshaw, Springerville; Lainie Duke, Show Low; Karen Bell, Eagar; Tracy Baca, Springerville; brother, Johnny Baca, sisters, Margaret Aragon, Sophie Pena, 24 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rumie Baca, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
