Nick Baca

Nicolas “Nick” German Baca, 91, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Snowflake at the Beehive Home. He was born August 24, 1930 in Magdalena, New Mexico, the son of Eliseo Baca and Margaret Leyba Baca.

Nick loved his family and very much enjoyed people. Ranching was his livelihood and his passion.

Nick is survived by his son, Gene A. Baca, Quemado, New Mexico; daughter, Margaret Baca Hubbell, Quemado, New Mexico; brother, Narciso Baca, sister, Ana Baca Vigil, 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 1 step-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael R. Baca and brothers, Valentin Baca and Reynaldo Baca.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. (NM time) at the Baca Family Cemetery, Quemado, New Mexico. Interment will follow the graveside services.
