Nancy Roseanna Ward

The beautiful soul, Nancy Roseanna Ward, 74, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 in Springerville, Arizona. She was born April 25, 1949 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of Jess Sida and Opal Book.

Nancy was raised in the Pueblo, Florence area in Colorado. She was the youngest of eight; four brothers and three sisters. She attended Florence High School but graduated from Round Valley High School at the age of 71. This was one of her proudest moments in her life next to her kids.

Nancy was a wonderful wife to Alvin C. Jackson for 5 years and to Richard T. Ward, Sr. for 34 years. She was very active in her community, volunteering at White Mtn. Regional Medical Center in the auxiliary, at the Historical Center of Round Valley and at the Rib Burn during Labor Day weekends.

Nancy was a very spiritual woman. She attended multiple churches in the community as she loved all religions; a true Christian. She never sat still for very long. She loved to go dancing and loved to sing karaoke around town. Nancy never knew a stranger and befriended everyone. She loved taking adventurous trips and loved life. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her special friend, Rex Gardiner, sons, Richard T. Ward, Jr., James Jackson, daughters, Suzette M. Pulsifer, Tina M. Jackson, step-children, Alvin Jackson, Julie Jackson, Ashley Barnes, Brandy Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Christopher Feezor, Kathy Glass, Frank Feezor, brothers, Kendal Johnson, Hershal Babbit, sisters, Del Irland, Cheryl Babbit, Lorene Wynn, Patty Holmes, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Opal Sida, husbands, Richard Ward and Alvin Jackson, brothers, Russell and Wayne and step-mother, Teddie Sida.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Jesus First Community Church, 138 US Highway 180, Eagar, AZ 85925.
