Michael J. Armstrong of Eagar, Arizona passed from this life, Thursday, January 4, 2024 surrounded by his dear friends. Mike was born June 1, 1952 in Crestline, Ohio, the son of Melvin J. Armstrong and Phyliss Ann Mahaffey Armstrong.
In the 71 years of his life, Mike traveled and worked all over the USA. He spent his youth in Florida fishing and surfing the ocean. He loved the beach. As a teen he became a skilled lead guitar player and for several years he played and managed his bands. A member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, he was known as a “Tanky”. His recent work was at Hartford Steam Boilers as a Certified Authorized Inspector with a specialty in Section 1 Boilers. He was well known in the industry and commissioned in Arizona, Colorado and California.
He and his wife, Patti owned and operated Patti’s Pet Parlor dog grooming business in Eagar for many years. He loved his family, horses, dogs and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patti, step-daughter, Traci Hall and his parents. He is survived by his sister, Paula (Dale) McGuire, step-son Ched Hall, step-daughter, Deana (Keith) Ollis, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. He will be missed by many.
