Maria Viola Baca Valdivia

Maria Viola Baca Valdivia, 92, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Springerville. She was born November 29, 1930 in St. Johns, Arizona, the daughter of Jose Maria Baca and Teresa Saavedra.

Viola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved family gatherings, holidays and especially camping with her family.

Viola is survived by her sons, Charlie Valdivia, Snowflake; Thomas Valdivia, daughters, Esther Valdivia, Santa Ana, California; Adelina Maier, Boise, Idaho, Theresa Valdivia, St. Johns; and sisters, Erlinda Salazar and Patsy Tafoya.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos R. Valdivia.

Rosary will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Springerville, followed by a memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.
