Loyd Allen Lambert, 86, of Quemado, New Mexico, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was born September 3, 1938 in Levelland, Texas, the son of Loyd Elbert Lambert and Anna Fae Haywood.
Loyd was a devoted family man whose strength, kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.
Loyd is survived by his daughter, Carla (Dale) Kalberg, Quemado, New Mexico; grandsons, Casey Kalberg, Craig Kalbert, great-grandchildren, Caston, Blake, Cambrie, Aurora, all of Quemado, New Mexico; sisters-in-law, Judy Lambert, Tatum, New Mexico; Tammy McDonald, Teena Beadles, Jessie Beadles, Jaynel Calloway, brothers-in-law, Tommy Beadles, Teddy Beadles and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who brought joy to his later years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Beadles Lambert, daughters, Kelly Lambert, Rhonda Lambert, parents Loyd and Anna Lambert, brother, Carlton Lambert and brothers-in-law, Greg McDonald, Mickey Beadles and Billy Beadles.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Windmill Cowboy Church of Pie Town, New Mexico, with a community potluck to follow. All who knew and loved Loyd are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Quemado Memorial Scholarship Fund, supporting the future of a community Loyd cared deeply about.
