Kelvin Carl Walker

Kelvin Carl Walker, 61, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. He was born August 9, 1957 in John Day, Oregon, the son of Hensel D. Walker and Alma Ruth Wood Walker.

Kelvin was an avid fisherman, hunter and hiker. His love for the outdoors was indescribable; he was always eager to share his love for the outdoors with others. Kelvin worked for TEP Springerville Generating Station for 34 years, where he served as a mechanic, mechanic foreman, maintenance superintendent and manager of health safety, training and security, retiring in March of 2018.

Kelvin loved to serve his community of Eagar and Springerville and loved coaching the youth of Round Valley. He coached football, baseball, basketball and wrestling. He had a deep love of patriotism for this country and the military, but his greatest love and devotion was to his family. P.S. he loved his hound dogs.

Kelvin is survived by his wife, Ruth Walker, sons, Shane (Lois) Walker, Landon (Billy Jo) Walker, Kyran (Becky) Walker, daughters, Myndee (Mitch) Crosby, Misty (Michael) Campeau, Marcee (Travis) Brown, Maycee Walker (Ken Lewis), step-sons, Dwight (Kaylee) Stock, Kyle (Rosemary) Stock, Wade (Jennifer) Stock, step-daughter, Rajae Stock, brothers, Farrell Walker, Rex (Marcella) Walker, Scott (Carla) Walker, Tony (Jennifer) Walker, sister, Sheila (John) Cantrell, 31 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Keith Walker.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral services at the Eagar Cemetery.
