John Edward Good

John Edward Good, 61, passed away, Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born August 11, 1964 in Morenci, Arizona, the son of Alva Jake Good and Gloria Faye Meadows.

John’s life centered around his family and his friends. He made quick friends of strangers and had an immense capacity to love all. His relationship with Jesus Christ made him a testimony to God Almighty. He was passionate in his craft as a Diagnostic Electrician of 40 plus years. His attention to detail and safety and mentoring of those following in his craft was of utmost importance to him. He brought joy to the workplace.

John was a great father to 3 children who are all now in adult years and he cherished his grandson and granddaughter. He was an amazing husband and best friend; spoiled his wife and loved her through easy times and hard times.

His therapy was riding motorcycles, spending time outdoors, fishing and camping. He brought joy to others and his laughter was contagious. He was always there to lend a helping hand or a compassionate ear. His space in the hearts of all who knew him will be etched for eternity.

John is survived by his wife, Judy Good, Safford; son, Clinton Birchfield, Safford; daughters, Jenna Crandell, Seattle, Washington; Sierra Good, Safford; friends, Andre Tapia, Safford; Dakota Williams, Safford; Marcus Pena, Safford; brothers, Alton Good, Jerry Good, sisters, Sue McCoy, Springerville; Barbie Marble, Morenci; Diane Maxwell, Lordsburg, New Mexico; Nita Haynie, Springerville; and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Faye and Joseph Meadows and paternal grandparents, Polly and Buford Good.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
