Jimmy Everett Hibbetts

On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Jimmy Everett Hibbetts went to be with our Lord and Savior. He lost a painful battle with cancer. He is loved and will be missed by his family.

Jim was born July 17, 1940 in Tucson, the son of Henry Everett Hibbetts and Bessie Anita Schultz. He graduated from Arizona State College in 1962 and received his Bachelor’s degree in forestry.

Jim enjoyed the many aspects of his job. He ended his career as a land management planner, for the United States Forest Service, retiring in 1998 and moved to Eagar.

He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He was also very proud to be part of the team that built the Jesus First Church from the ground up and did a great job on the roof.

Jim will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Leandra Hibbetts, Eagar; son, Michael Everett Hibbetts, Roy, Utah; daughters, Anita Michelle Hibbetts, Eagar; Janet Christine Inlow, Eagar; brothers, Jerry Hibbetts, Marty Hibbetts, sister, Linda Mia Latham, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Katherine.

He will be missed by extended family and friends.
