On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Feast Day of Saint Giles, Jessica Rose Williams peacefully left this earthly life and stepped into the loving embrace of the kingdom of Heaven at the age of 56.
Jessica was born December 5, 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the second born and first daughter to Meredith Irvin Ketring and Elizabeth Rose Haynes Ketring.
Jessica, known by many as “Jess”, “Tissy” and “Noni”, was raised in the Catholic faith, receiving sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation. On March 27, 1992 she was united in lawful matrimony to Duane Eric Williams at the Justice of Peace in Oregon. They later completed their sacrament of marriage the following year at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Scappoose Oregon. Together they faithfully raised their family in Scappoose Oregon, Laingsburg Michigan, St. Johns Arizona and Eagar Arizona.
She was a retired Nurse and was an active member of many groups: Daughters of the Lamb, Legion of Mary, Pro Life Committee, study Bible prayer group and the blue army. Jessica lived a life rooted in faith, hope and charity. Many knew her by her curly hair and independent attitude which she inherited from her mother Elizabeth. She was a caretaker of many beloved animals, the life of every party and an amazing event planner. She loved deeply and always saw the good in people. She never hesitated to help others and always seemed to know when it was needed. She was intelligent, kind and could always make you laugh with her wonderful sense of humor.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Duane Eric Williams, children, Meredith Kyleen Byler, Jaithen Duane (Kendyl) Williams, Garret Lee Williams, grandchildren, Joslynn Kyleen Byler, Reyes Byler, Kendrick Duane Williams and sibling, Justin (Leslie) Ketring.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God; rest in peace.
Friends and family are invited to the Vigil service, Rosary Friday, September 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Johns, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be held after mass at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery, St. Johns.
