Ellen Ruth Nielsen

Ellen Ruth Jackson Nielsen, 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, June 24, 2021 in St. Johns. She was born May 9, 1956 in Ajo, Arizona; the daughter of Hardy James Jackson, Jr. and Theodosia Ruth Boddy.

Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Ruth is survived by her husband, David Nielsen, St. Johns; sons, Stuart (Michelle) Nielsen, St. Johns; Michael (Rebecca) Nielsen, St. Johns; daughters, Shanna Cox, St. Johns; Kandi (Dave) Hynes, Castle Rock, Colorado; Lesley Nielsen, St. Johns, brother, Richard Jackson and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Frank and Theodosia Boddy.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, St. Johns. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
