Duane Erwin White, Sr.

Duane Erwin White, Sr., 83, passed away, Sunday, August 24, 2025 in Concho, Arizona. He was born November 28, 1941 in Grafton, North Dakota, the son of Charles T. White and Ethel May Wolfgram.

Duane loved working in his wood shop and he loved his dogs. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1968 and was a funeral director for 15 years. He really enjoyed talking to his kids. He drove an ambulance while going to school. He had a degree in drafting, but what he really enjoyed doing was driving truck over the road. He and his wife Estelle drove truck together and had a wonderful time working together. They also owned a local thrift shop and a Verizon store.

He loved working and talking to all of his friends and neighbors here in St. Johns and most important he loved the Lord with all his heart.

Duane is survived by his wife, Estelle White, Concho; sons, Michael White, Sagle, Idaho; David White, Eagle Creek, Oregon; daughter, Sheila Hall, Eagle Creek, Oregon; stepsons, James Lohr, Oregon; Wayne Bailey, Riverdon, Wyoming, 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester White, Marlin White, Kenneth White and sister, Carol Eklund.
