Diana Davis

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Diana Bigelow Davis at the age of 75. She departed this world in the same serene way she lived her life, peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Born on July 30, 1948 to Owen Matthias Bigelow and Lucy Eagar Bigelow, Diana was the youngest of seven children and grew up in Eagar, Arizona. She was a remarkable woman, a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother.

In 1971 Diana married the love of her life, Donald Davis in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They shared an enduring love story that spanned decades until his passing in 2019. Together they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories.

Diana was a woman of many talents and passions. She had an extraordinary gift for sewing and she poured her heart and soul into creating intricate pieces that will forever be treasured by her family. Her garden was a vibrant display of her love for nature and she spent countless hours tending to it, sharing its beauty with everyone around her, but what truly defined Diana was her devotion to her family and to her faith.

She was a loving and caring mother to her four children, Laura Phelps, Dublin, California; Tamra Zoebell, Strasburg, Colorado; Jennifer Hansen, Eagar; and Kevin Davis, Eagar. She is also survived by a brother, Rulon Bigelow and sister, Anne Udall. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply. She was adored by her 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, all of whom will forever remember her warmth, nurturing spirit and above all, her strong testimony in Jesus Christ.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Lucy Bigelow, husband, Donald Melvin Davis, brothers, Harold Bigelow, Robert Bigelow, Dennis Bigelow and sister, Virginia Croxton.

Diana had a heart full of love and a classic, lady-like grace that is rare today. She was known for her kindness, her generosity and her unwavering support for those she held dear. Her legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched throughout her lifetime.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity building, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
