David Ryan Pulsipher

February 1, 1990 — January 7, 2022

David Ryan Pulsipher, 31, passed away in a car accident in Joplin, Missouri, Friday, January 7, 2022. Ryan was born on February 1, 1990 to David Edwin and Tracy Lynn Pulsipher. He grew up in the small town of Springerville, Arizona where he graduated from Round Valley High School.

Ryan Pulsipher and Alice Metzger were married July 24, 2010. The next year Ryan was sealed to Alice and Jason for time and eternity in the Gila Valley Temple. To provide for their young family Ryan worked many jobs, including Barrick gold mines in Elko, Nevada where he welded heavy equipment, earning an associate degree in welding at the same time. Shortly thereafter he decided to change paths, apprenticing as an electrical and instrumental technician and earning an associate degree in the same field. The family moved back to Arizona a short time later. Ryan was no stranger to hard work, while working as a tech in Arizona, he also ran a side business owning and operating an apartment complex. In 2019, Ryan and Alice picked up stakes in Arizona and moved their family (including Grandma and Grandpa Ballejos) to Missouri so Alice could chase her dream and begin medical school.

Ryan is survived by his son, Jason (14), three beautiful daughters, Dakota (9), Riley (9), Harley (7), wife, Alice, father, David, siblings, Megan, Dustin, Nathan, Katie and his grandmother, Patricia Ballejos.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy Pulsipher, sister, Kristen Pulsipher and his grandfathers, Louis "Toy" Ballejos, Charles Sandy Miles and David Jepson Pulsipher.

Ryan was a family man and a wonderful father. This was easy to see anytime he was in a room with his daughters; they clung to him. There was no place he would rather be than with Jason and the girls. Ryan was also a skilled craftsman, a master electrician, a trained welder and a skilled plumber. It seemed there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Ryan was a fixer of broken things. He used his skills to serve his fellowman. Ryan was a tremendous example of service. He spent many, many Saturdays fixing plumbing, electrical or other home issues of church members and neighbors; often times he was working on the home of someone he barely knew.

Ryan was a man of faith. He was an upstanding member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings over the years. His faith guided every aspect of his life. He loved working with the youth. At the time of his passing, Ryan was serving as the president of the Elder's Quorum in the Lamar Missouri branch.

Ryan may be gone from this earth, but he will never be forgotten. He has blessed us with incredible memories that will be cherished forever. Ryan's legacy will live on through his family, friends and the hearts of the people he touched.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Chapel. Ryan’s ashes will be laid to rest with his mother, Tracy in the Eagar Cemetery.
