David Eugene Machovoe, Sr.

David Eugene Machovoe, Sr., 66, passed away, Saturday, July 5, 2025 at his home in St. Johns, Arizona. He was born November 2, 1958 in Batavia, New York, the son of Joseph Charles Machovoe and Jane Zieleski.

David enjoyed planting and growing vegetables and flowers. He loved old western movies and shows which led him to move to Arizona and be closer to his eldest son. He loved the outdoors and was able to finally see the Grand Canyon, even though he wasn’t able to make the ride to Tombstone. David had a deep love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Talking to them long distance always brought a smile to his face. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

David is survived by his sons, David (Renee) Machovoe, Jr., St. Johns; Michael Machovoe, Warsaw, New York; daughter, Sarah (Ron) Hewson, Pavillion, New York; brothers, Donald (Rhonda) Machovoe, Land O’ Lakes, New York; Raymond Machovoe, sisters, Maureen Davis, Edmington, Kentucky; Alice (Lee) DeCamp, Ocala, Florida; Cheryl Macklem, Rochester, New York; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Richard (Lynn) Machovoe and Robert (Karen) Machovoe.
