Cynthia "Cyndi" Aileen Platt

Cynthia "Cyndi" Aileen Platt of St. Johns, Arizona graduated from this life, Friday, October 20, 2023 surrouned by her husband, children and their spouses and is now finding rest in the Lord as she is reunited with her parents.

Cyndi was second born of seven children to George Lincoln Gillespie, Jr. and Nellie Ruth Wilkins Gillespie. She was born August 23, 1950 in Gallup, New Mexico. Cyndi married her sweetheart, Drew Platt in the Mesa Arizona Temple on January 28, 1971. They were married 52 years.

Cyndi was happiest spending time with her children and grandchildren, serving in the Snowflake Temple, going on scenic drives with her husband and serving those around her. Her many talents included sewing, baking, singing and playing the guitar. 

Cyndi is survived by her husband, Drew and their 6 children, Justin (Megan), Jeremy (Karrie), Koelyn (Jarred) Truschke, Devon (CJ), Kachelle (Bryan) McBride, Kalicia (David) Flake and their 19 grandchildren.

Cyndi was a wonderful, caring and compassionate wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend. We will miss her greatly.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, St. Johns Downtown Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
