Cora D Peña

Cora D. Peña, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in St. Johns. She was born February 2, 1942 in Concho, the daughter of Pedro Dominguez and Lola Duran Dominguez. Cora lived in St. Johns all her life. She cared for children and elderly in St. Johns and was a cook for the school district for many years. She later went on to cook for the El Camino restaurant. When her spouse became ill she stood by and took care of him until his death and has been patiently waiting for the day she would reunite with the love of her life. Cora is survived by her son, Stanley (Kathy) Peña, daughters, Debbie (Fellomeno) Ulibarri, Vickie Voss, brother, Ted Dominguez, 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cardenio Peña, daughter, Tammy Peña, son-in-law, Bob Voss, brother, Salomon Dominguez and sister, Rosa Santos. Rosary will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Johns, with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral mass at the St. Johns Catholic Cemetery.
