Caroline Margaret Garcia Verissimo, 80, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in Eagar. A native of Springerville, she was born December 22, 1936 the daughter of Gabriel Garcia and Mary Baldonado Garcia. Caroline joined the First National Bank of Arizona in 1958 as a commercial bookkeeper, commercial teller, livestock bookkeeper and operations supervisor. She worked for the bank most of her career and loved it so much she worked there until retirement. She also worked for the Salt River Project in St. Johns in administration. Caroline loved horses and rodeos and loved to spend her time at home “gardening.” One thing for sure, when someone was in need she would always be there to assist any way she could, even if they needed money. God bless! Caroline had a sister, Nellie (Harry) Severtson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Joseph Verissimo, brother, Harry “Sonny” Garcia and grandparents, Pedro and Nancy Baldonado. Interment will follow the Mass at the Springerville Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the church.
