Blaine Elwood Tisdell

Blaine Elwood Tisdell, 64, passed away, Monday, August 18, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born July 20, 1961 in Springerville, Arizona, the son of Romey Dee Tisdell and Lillian Marie Peters.

Blaine loved reading Louis L’amour books and watching westerns. He loved animals, raised chickens, rabbits, a milk cow and opened his own business raising and selling gamebirds; quail, pheasants, doves and exotic birds. He had a great sense of humor; giving nicknames to everyone and enjoyed cutting firewood with friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a very hard worker and worked for many years at Stone Forest in Eagar and McDonalds in Springerville.

Blaine is survived by his wife, Wanda Loree Tisdell, Eagar; daughters, Denae Grefe, Salt Lake City, Utah; Keila (Nick) Ohlson, Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Colin Tisdell, sisters, Cheryl Tisdell, Ronda Davis and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Toy Van Tisdell.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the services at the Luna, New Mexico Cemetery.
