Bill Chavez Baca

Bill Chavez Baca, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Eagar. He was born April 15, 1938 in Springerville, the son of Pedro Juan Baca and Martina Chavez.

Bill was well respected and known for his hard work as a Fire Manager at the Springerville Ranger District where he spent 31 years, retiring in 1993. He loved his grandchildren and automobiles and making jewelry out of rocks he had found. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his sons, Mike (Kris) Baca, Clark Baca, daughter, Sheila Wilson, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgiana Baca, daughter-in-law, Sheila Baca and a son-in-law, Tim Wilson.
