James Henry O'Neil

James “Jim” H. O’Neil, 93, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 in Green Valley. He was born November 24, 1923 in Newburgh, New York, the son of Charles Patrick O’Neil and Margaret Ruth Vail. Jim worked for the local power company in Newburgh. He was a World War II veteran, having served with honor in Okinawa during that conflict. Jim was known for his integrity, honesty, and for bringing song, humor and love into the lives of those he touched. He has gone to join his loving spouse of 65 years, Frances A. O’Neil (nee Morris), who passed away in February, 2016. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his three daughters, Kathleen F. O’Neil, Rochester, Minn; Maureen A. Roessler, Green Valley; and Eileen T. (James R.) Furman, Green Valley, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
