David B. Noble, 90, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at his home in Alpine.
David is survived by his wife, Bea Higgins Noble, his children, Leslie King, Wade Noble, Vickie Ann Smith, Peggy Wright, James M. Noble, Nadene Adams, Karol Thurston, dozens of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
David was born August 27, 1925, in St. Johns, the son of Charles Leslie Noble and Rozella Brinkerhoff. He always said the ranch in Alpine, Arizona was a “perfect place” to be raised.
David loved to fly and in 1943 he joined the Air Force. He served in the Army Air Corp until December 1945. In 1955, David accepted a position with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, where he worked for many decades. He was honored with awards and accolades in this position throughout his career.
David married Bea Higgins Noble May 18, 1990. Bea brought to the marriage stepchildren Donna Noble, Colleen Rice, Janet Noble-Caldwell, Paula Buccini, Patricia Wake, Joyce Chase, Wanda Lothson and Charles Noble. David was a great father to them and their children, who never knew any other grandfather. David was deeply involved in the LDS church his entire life. He enjoyed public speaking and was often called on to speak. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. (AZ Time), 12:00 noon (NM Time) at the Luna Chapel, Luna, New Mexico, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the Funeral Services at the Alpine Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life.
