Marjorie LaVell Hearne, passed away peacefully at her home in Rio Verde, under the care of Hospice and family, Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was 96 years old.
Marjorie was born in Wheaton, Missouri, the only child of Herman Johaude Feaster and Effie Clara Brown Feaster. They moved as a family when Marjorie was eight to Springerville. She attended Springerville Elementary and graduated from Round Valley High School where she excelled in academics and music. She attended cosmetology school in Phoenix and loved cutting and styling hair. She met, fell in love with and married Ted Hearne; they were married for 65 years. Marjorie and Ted worked together in the Union 76 Station and Bulk Plant for many decades. For many years they hosted and worked in advisory positions for the White Mountain Range Riders which was a great joy to them.
Marjorie’s list of friends and colleagues were great as result of involvement in Hospital Auxiliary, The Red Hat Club, multiple bridge clubs and several positions within the Springerville Presbyterian Church, including Treasurer and Secretary. She served as the Registrar for Apache County for many years.
Marjorie was a wonderful and very much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was a strong woman of faith. Her kindness and love for others brought out the best in everyone around her. Marjorie was a life-long Presbyterian until at the age of 94, she converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This was a joyful, extraordinary moment in the lives of all her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who have been blessed by knowing her.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Teddy Finch, Judy Shepherd, Linda Reeve and husbands and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandsons, Daniel Finch and Shane Hall.
